Hi Singers,
Thank-you for yet another awesome rehearsal!
***Reminder for next week, we are singing at our regular time 6:30pm-8:30pm just downstairs at the hall. The kids will overlap with you so we can try Mr.Grinch together, and the band will be there for the full rehearsal!
***Please tell all your Friends and Families to get a ticket for the concerts! Available now at Talisman.
***Please bring cash next week if you would like to donate some money for some baked goods from Costco. Audrey from the soprano's will take your cash and purchase the baked goods! If you have time and would like to bake, please consider signing up to donate x2 dozen cookies or treats for one of the concert days.
On your own practice time AND at your sectionals:
Please rehearse the following:
- Sure on this shining night....especially bars 16-24, bars 31-43 and Bars 48-57.
Remember just the low voices from the Tenor and Basses will start the song. It also helps to listen to the recording of this song from our playlist and try and sing your part along with the song.
- Silent Night...especially bars 83-111. Again, this will be a good one to try and sing along with the version we have on our playlist.
- Log Driver's - Try to sing along with the recording so you can get used to the new faster tempo.
- Listen to Surrender, and Song from a Tree just so you don't forget how they sound, we will try and rehearse these next week with the recording, and the band to get a feel for it. We will also nail down the harmonies in Surrender.
Have a great week! Stay rested and hydrated leading up to the concerts. Try and sing 15 min everyday so your voice will be prepared for the shows!!! You all are doing such a great job and I'm so proud to share these concerts with you!
